Dr. Dillon Smith, a Florida native, grew up in Jacksonville where he attended the Bolles School before getting his Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Smith grew up in a medical family, his father, a former military doctor, is an OB/Gyn attending physician in the University of Florida health system and his mother is a former nurse. Dr. Smith completed his doctorate in optometry at the University of Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He was also fortunate enough to complete externships at WJB Dorn Veterans Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina as well as the Naval Branch Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. His practice focuses on primary eye care, with special interests in the management of glaucoma, dry eyes, computer eyestrain, and the pre and post-operative management of cataract patients. Dr. Smith is an avid sports fan particularly college football and basketball and frequently found fishing in the Indian River Lagoon.
