Meet Dr. Michael Kutryb

Kutryb Eye Institute was established by Dr. Michael Kutryb, a surgeon with the vision of providing a model of personalized care. Kutryb Eye Institute has secured a reputation for providing outstanding care while leaving patients with a reassuring, positive experience.

Dr. Michael Kutryb, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has served Central Florida for over 20 years. He specializes in refractive cataract surgery and has performed over 20,000 cataract and laser procedures. Dr. Kutryb is known as a perfectionist, and utilizes the most advanced technologies available to provide the very best results for his patients. He has done extensive research regarding patient satisfaction with different intraocular lenses and his work has appeared inEyeNet, Review of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology Times and the Journal of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kutryb is also a featured contributor to Medhelp.org, one the world’s largest internet health sites. He has been an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as a contributing writer and presenter, and in 2009, the American Academy of Ophthalmology presented Dr. Kutryb with the Secretariat Award for his dedication to patient education. In 2009 Dr. Kutryb also received the LEO Award (Lifetime Education Award) from the Academy and the Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association.

Meet Dr. Emily Hopman

Dr. Emily Hopman attended the University of Central Florida, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences.  She graduated in May of 2021 from the inaugural class of Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Optometry, finishing in the top 10 of her class. Dr. Hopman is passionate about caring for the geriatric population, as well as managing and treating ocular diseases. Dr. Hopman is a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry.

Meet Dr. Kiri Rutledge

Dr. Kiri Rutledge is pleased to be a part of the Kutryb Eye Institute team. Dr. Rutledge was born and raised in Northwest Kansas. Dating back to high school, she pursued her dream of becoming an optometrist. Dr. Rutledge received her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Fort Hays State University.  She went on to complete her doctorate of optometry degree at Northeastern State University College of Optometry with summa cum laude honors. Her professional interests include primary care and ocular disease. Dr. Rutledge has worked in the optometry field since high school; working at several private optometry and ophthalmology practices along the way. She is well versed in ocular disease after completing both an externship at Fry Eye Associates in Garden City, Kansas and a Primary Care Residency at the Daytona Beach VA.
